Our next mother is special because her wish was to be our mother - the Mother of the believers.

Here are some interesting facts about our mother, Maimoonah, the daughter of Al-Harith:
Her original name was Barrah, but the Prophet ﷺ renamed her to Maimoonah, which means blessed, or the one who brings blessings and barakah.
Some prominent companions were a part of her family, like: Lubna, Zainab, Khalid, the son of Al-Walid, and Abdullah, son of Abbas.
She embraced Islam in Mecca before Hijra, and went to Madinah three years after getting married to the Prophet ﷺ.
She was the one who initiated the marriage with the Prophet ﷺ.
Piety, goodness, affection, proactivity, generosity, were some of the characteristics that she was described with.
Thanks to her authority in Islamic rulings (Fiqh), we learnt more about acts of ibaadah related to Islamic shower (ghusl), virtues of the Prophet’s Mosque, and others.

Here is a question to ponder over, after listening to the new Builders of a Nation episode: if we were to pass away today, how would we be described by the people who knew us best?
