While in Scotland we travelled to Aberdeenshire to visit Dunnottar Castle. The ruins of a medieval castle that was visited through out the years by many Scottish Greats in history: William Wallace, Mary Queen of Scots and the future King Charles II.

The kids really enjoyed the visit, but there is a lot of walking involved to get to the castle and throughout the entire tour. The scenery and sights are absolutely utley beautiful and I highly recommend a visit if your physical fitness can support the walking, steps, and incline.
