Wolverhampton defeated Leicester City 4-3. Diogo Jota scored a hat-trick in stoppage time to clinch the win. Leicester's defensive play was terrible, which put pressure on the team's coach, Claude Puel. Leicester went down to defeat after they attempted to use a trap in the final added minute and Jota was left unguarded to head in Raul Jimenez's cross. The Wolverhampton players celebrated the victory with emotion, and coach Nuno Espirito Santo was sent to the stands for celebrating with the players. It was the first hat-trick by a Wolverhampton player in the English Premier League since 1977.
