A time lapse video showing how I did this drawing of a Ragdoll cat. The full length 4 hour tutorial is available on my Patreon. I'll share some pastel tips when drawing soft, dense, thicker fur like this. There are a few things to consider at the time - how to hold the pencil, the lead length, pressure and more. All of which come into play when drawing realistic fur like this. Building up lots of subtle layers to create more depth. I work in small sections so that this complex fur texture doesn't become to overwhelming.
