This is an iPod nano 1st generation released in 2005. My model has 2GB of storage which doesn't fit very much. The most these 1st gens had was 4GB and the least was 1GB so mine is in the middle.

In this video I set out on a mission to "improve" the iPod nano. I destroy a few components and go through a lot of difficulty to get to the end result.

The paint I used isn't really paint, it's "Bediner Paint" which is used for trucks and similar things. But, It can be used in situations like this and is very durable. It turned out a little lumpy at the end because of my heat gunning (lol). It's similar to spray rubber, like the phil swift flex product thingie.

The "Pro Max Ultra Extreme iPod Nano" is possibly the best name idea ever. It implies pro performance and extreme durability all while having maximum specs and ultra high quality components. And yes it sort of makes fun of apples current naming schemes.

As for the screens, I've learned my lesson about using too much rubbing alcohol... Less is more and I did get a little carried away. As to why the second screen stopped working... I'm not quite sure. I don't know how it was before I went at it so maybe it was already problematic.
