The Sumerians were an agricultural civilization that permanently settled Mesopotamia between 5500BC and 4000BC, developing early cuneiform writing around 3000 BC. Their Aryan elite were absorbed into the cultures that they founded, and remembered in their myth as their nobility. Today, academia calls them "Proto-Indo-Europeans". The Anunnaki means "Serpent Seed", and are a group of deities in ancient Mesopotamian cultures.
