When visiting Normandy, one of the most humbling experiences is to walk the American Cemetery at Normandy where those who gave their lives for the cause of freedom eternally lay at rest. Under each one of those headstones is man who had a story. In this episode, we're looking at a few of the notable and some less notable graves of this piece of ground that overlooks one of the bloodiest beaches that U.S. troops have ever fought on.
