We are glad to introduce you to our version of the classic Bowers Fly Baby! This beautiful airplane flew for the first time in 1962 becoming the winner of the Experimental Aircraft Association's design competition. It was designed to be constructed in a garage, using only basic hand tools, by a person of average "home handyman" skills.

In our 3D printed RC version we have tried to maintain that spirit of the original design. The most significant concept is the use of fishing lines to reinforce the wing and landing gear. These cables provide a nice scale look to the airplane whilst providing enough structural strength without the use of expensive carbon fiber tubes. The wing is also detachable.

The moderate size of the airplane, in combination with "vase mode" design philosophy, will allow you to print it really fast and with an outstanding outer surface quality; even with very cheap printers!
