This boss is everything wrong with Elden Ring bundled up in one vile putrid abhorrent package. Delayed attacks, undodgeable attacks, poorly telegraphed attacks, unnecessarily prolonged combos, unnecessary successive AOEs, and an absurd damage output. It's saddening to see this is what FromSoftware considers a good boss to include in their final product. It is so far removed from what made a good boss fight and why many of the bosses in the previous titles succeed in their purpose. This is the only boss where I had to completely restructure my build and use mimic tear to accomodate its terrible design, shattering the open world game design (or the illusion it gives you). In the end, my build and my choices didn't matter. I didn't get to play how I wanted, but instead how the game wanted.
