Hi folks, I’m sharing a large bushcraft knife for those of you who may prefer a larger cutting tool for the woods. This is the Aurora II by Bark River and I have paired with a custom leather sheath. The specs and details are listed below. Enjoy

(This knife has a unique full height grind as opposed to a standard Aurora blade profile, which most come with)

Firesteel: Bark River Custom firesteel (3/8) – black canvas Micarta with a red liner

This knife comes with a brown leather sheath. The regular factory sheath has a firesteel loop and weighs about 3 ounces or 85 grams. The total weight of this knife with the factory sheath is about 283 grams.

The custom leather sheath shown is the video is called a Cricket sheath. This leather sheath has a removable dangler, accessory pouch and firesteel loop. The leather maker is JRE Industries. I have several of these Cricket type sheaths. This rig fully outfitted weighs about 15.7 ounces or 445 grams.
