We used special greenhouse nylon for all replacements, even now, but we notice that the life of the foil decreases year by year.
There are probably several factors, but considering that the foil suffers the fastest on plastic bows, I think that it is largely due to them, because over time they lost their smoothness after so much exposure to the sun.
A big role is played by just placing and tightening the film.
Care should be taken not to install the nylon or foil on a warm sunny day, as this will cause the foil to stretch. In any case, the foils should not be too tight during installation.
