This example of a great performing Experimental float plane built and operating in Anchorage is a perfect personal bush plane for Alaska. This highly modified Murphy Moose homebuilt is equipped with a 400 HP M14P "Russian Radial" engine built by BPE Engines. The engine is Electronic ignition and fuel injected by Airflow Performance. The prop is hollow core carbon fiber by Whirlwind Propeller and PK floats. The Moose name is perfect for this owner given the fact he has actually hauled a complete moose in one load out of the bush. He has even loaded a snow machine and delivered it to a remote location. With extended wings, a custom leading edge cuff, and VG's it is impressive how fast she gets out of the water. On floats the cruise is 95-105 kts. and 12-20 GPH. Notice the cool air starter unique to the Russian radial.
Thank you for the amazing ride.
