What is the story of Goddess Durga?
The birth of the goddess

Goddess Durga was created to combat the evil demon Mahishasura. The trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva came together to create a powerful female form with ten arms. When Durga emerged from the waters of the holy Ganga as a spirit, she was given a physical form by all the gods put together.

What is the Durga mantra?
Yaa devi sarva bhuteshu, buddhi rupena sangsthita. Namastasyai, namastasyai, namastasyai, namo namaha. This mantra outlines the omnipresent nature of Goddess Durga. Chanting this mantra can help one’s inner power to deal with any sort of situation in life.

Who gave weapons to Durga?
Indra gave her his vajra, Varuna gave her his conch, Agni gave her a missile or spear, Vayu gave her a bow and arrows, Vishwakarma gave her his axe and an armour, and the lord of the mountains gave her a lion. The representations of Durga, whether it’s her idols or pictures, carry all these weapons and more

Veda Bharathi Peetham was established in the year 2008 by Sri Veda Vidyanandagiri Swamiji, with the aim to teach Vedam to all communities, both Boys and Girls. Lot of damage has been done to our HINDU Religion. Our attempts have given fruitful results. But we had suffered without authentic monetary support. Vedabharathi Peetham is Gurukula type Vedic school. We are providing with Food, Shelter and Vedic classes from Seven years to, our aim was only to elevate Vedic scholar talents to Guru Sishyas, Not on collecting funds for development of our Ashram.

Now we do following these services. Free Education, Medical Camps, Free Meals to poor villagers and public on the banks of Godavari River. And Free Eye Camps, Clean and Beauty Godavari River, Community Activities. From funds given by villagers and Swamiji Sisyas.
