Welcome to our songwriter series. We kick the series off with "Hey" recorded by Don and Eddie on the Decca Label and released in April 1961. This series will consist of songs written or co-written by Roy, many of which were commercially recorded by other artists. However, we will take a look at some covers of his best known hits as well but I want to stress that this is not a competition between Roy's version and that of any other artist. We hope you enjoy the series and find a few surprises as well.
