We contracted for a logging outfit that ground up cedar trees. They were getting top dollar for cedar grindings they sold to a bagging operation at that time. We averaged 3+ loads an hour but were running 3" block teeth and had a worn out anvil at the time so we had to baby it to avoid the tops from wrapping in the mill "which happened twice anyways". If we had used narrower teeth or the winged teeth and had a fresh cutting edge on our anvil, I believe we could have easily averaged 4 loads an hour, especially with the knuckle boom and a seasoned operator like we had on this job.
