CHICON 2007 solo panel with Jensen Ackles. Jared Padalecki also shows up near the end. This is a revised version of the video posted in January 2024. It has significantly better video quality. The source video is not my own; it was generously provided by AgtSpooky. The event took place on Sunday, November 11, 2007. I enhanced the original video as described below.

ENHANCEMENTS
1. I ran an upscale and stabilization program to improve video quality and reduce shakiness. It isn't perfect; the source material was recorded with 2007 technology. However, it now looks significantly better than any other video of this event published to date.

2. I added some small and (mostly) subtle content to help explain pop culture references that viewers might not be familiar with and to refresh people's memories on specific episode references being discussed.

3. I added GOOD, color-coded subtitles, unlike the auto-generated atrocities most of these older videos have that don't even make sense. If you turn on the CC button, these sometimes chaotic videos will make a LOT more sense! If I wasn't confident about what they said, even if I thought I could guess based on context, I marked it as [inaudible] in the subtitles.

VIDEO REFERENCE NOTES
1. The fans yelled "Asylum" when Jensen said he would tell his "favorite fan story" because they knew a fan had jumped on Jensen at the first Asylum convention in the UK six months before, in May 2007. 2. The details I provided during the various footage gaps came from the following detailed report provided by a fan. There may be inaccuracies, but other parts of the fan's recounting matched up pretty well with what can be seen in the videos, so I thought this was a reliable source to reference for the missing footage. yourlibrarian.dreamwidth.org/65478.html

This video was generously provided to me directly from AgtSpooky who attended and recorded the event. This is why I released a revised version -- the original file upscaled so much better than the one I'd originally used from YouTube that my original enhanced video seemed embarrassingly bad by comparison.

The six images from Michael Jackson's Victory Tour were captured from the following video of the entire event. The video was from July 14, 1984, but the tour was at the Texas Stadium from July 13-15.
