In this video we continue our Thailand travel vlog 2021 and our journey start at the Bang Rong Pier in Phuket where we take a 30 minutes speed boat ride to Koh Yao Yai Thailand. In this Thailand trip, we get to fulfill one of our dreams. Back in 2017, we stumbled upon a post about the Koh Yao Yai luxury resort - Santhiya. Once we get to the destination, we'll get to spend some time in one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed at. To get to our room from the reception area, we take a 10 minute ride in a songtao, taking us some steep cliffs. The entire Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort is built on the side of a cliff and getting to the rooms is quite the adventure. The Santhiya Resort in Koh Yao Yai Thailand is mainly made of wood with carvings on the wall, bed frame and everywhere else. The resort is built in a beautiful Thai traditional style which makes the stay at the hotel one to remember. For our special occasion, we booked a room with a stunning view, where we'll get to see some breathtaking Thai sunsets right from our balcony.
The next day, we go out of our resort to explore the island of Koh Yao Yai Thailand and see some other beautiful beaches the island has to offer. We rented a motorbike after lunch and headed over to Coco Beach, in the north-western part of the Ko Yao Yai island. Unfortunately, because the last part of the road there, the last 5 Mk we had to travel on a steep dirt road, we decide to stop and take out the drone and see what lyes ahead. Although we didn't get to see Coco Bech in Koh Yao Yai Thailand, we got to see some stunning views of the area. Next on our tour through the island of Koh Yao Yai, we head over to Chong Lard Pier which is the main pier on the island. After admiring the beautiful speedboats and locals fishing on long tail boats, we headed over to our next destination. In the eastern part of the island, we go to a place which many travelers rank as the best thing to see on the island - Laem Had Beach. Laem Had Beach is a stunning arrow shaped piece of sand jetting into the water. The beach has pristine white sand and beautiful blue water on both sides. Next, we get to explore Ao Sai beach, which has a beautiful rocky shore.
