Here it is. upgrade time. I got fed up with replacing motors and controllers on this lathe. 2 motors burnt out on me and one controller just stopped working. these electrics are a minefield on the Chinese mini lathe's, especially when they are 110v DC!!! Not compatible with adding coolant.
so I decided to convert it to a 3phase variable frequency drive controlled motor. giving me 3x the power and 4x the torque.
WORDS OF CAUTION: this is not fully upgraded and finished. Main lathe controls are being reinstated in the next video. So that they are at the front of the machine.
