I drove 160 minutes to get here. This is the stretch of sandy beach in front of the station where my grandfather, who passed away before I was born, was stationmaster. My father spent a happy boyhood in a home by that station. He also passed away last year. Still, it is rare to look at such a beautiful sea. I am glad I came.
