You can drop the mattress down to its lowest setting and take the front railing off for when you're baby is a toddler.

We got this as a hand me down and now that I see the price, I am mindblown. $724.97 in Canada For 3 babies total that have used this crib it is definitely worth it! The mattress does not have any dips in it at all. If you are planning on having multiple children, this is definitely a great investment. Even if you are having one you could definitely hand it down or sell it in good condition. The wood is sturdy and has been unassembled and reassembled quite a few times and is still strong, sturdy and intact. If you are on a tight budget I would buy it used or maybe invest in something lower cost, I am sure there are amazing options out there!
