I do not believe in force or coercion to be a good horse person. I don't want a horse to be submissive and completely without a choice. I want a horse that cooperate willingly.
I therefore don't always decide what is going to happen. Caprise was very clear in what she wanted and by luck I was in total agreement. She set the pace and the route for the first part of the ride.
