A classic western themed light gun game, Lethal Enforcers 2: Gun Fighters was first released to arcades in Japan by Konami in 1994. The game shared a similar concept as the original game release of 1992 did, with the use of digitized graphics for the presentation of characters and stage backgrounds, though with a totally different theme.


Unlike the original Lethal Enforcers which depicted a more modern theme of a cop hunting down an armed gang on the streets of modern day America, Gun Fighters boasted an old western theme, with players hunting down outlaws in America's wild west of the 1870's.


Stages included a bank robbery, a saloon showdown, and a stage holdup where players battled it out with American outlaws and Indians attempting to attack a moving stagecoach by horseback.


Gun Fighters was a fairly short game, though quite a bit more challenging than the original title. One stage forces players into a dueling, quick draw showdown with 3 outlaws, adding for quite a unique challenge that's easy for players to fumble on.


As is expected, there are a number of power-ups in the game, often hidden behind objects such as signs. Power-ups include powerful shotguns, a Gatling gun, a 50 cal rifle, among others.


The game also brought back the concept of innocents, which must be avoided, otherwise players lose life as a result. Innocents include bystanders, as well as lawmen. Although, the game tries to trick you at times into believing certain outlaws are actually innocents; they'll state, "Don't Shoot", raising their hands as if they're bystanders, only to pull out a weapon and fire upon you a second later.
