Renato. The man will stay in my memory forever. It started with the mistake par excellence: I hadn't pressed ‘Record’. I only realised this at the very end and then he simply told his wonderful story again. And even better!
That explains his fit of laughter at the end of the interview when I say to him: ‘Let me check if it is on!’
Understanding a Scotsman with Italian roots as a German was one of the toughest tests in Liverpool. But it was worth it, a great guy!
