This video, although just a casual hang with Third World prior to their studio session in 1986, really highlights the virtuoso musicianship of lead guitarist Cat Coore (recently rated #91 on Rolling Stone's list of the 250 greatest guitarists of all time) and the late, great keyboardist, Ibo Cooper (high on my personal list). I will not even name the songs they were improvising on here...enjoy the surprise.

Along with the legendary Willie Stewart on drums, bassist Richard Daley and lead singer Bunny Rugs (the latter two not really featured here), part of this shoot was incorporated into the pilot program that got Reggae Strong on the air for the first time in 1987.

This footage was shot at E.A.R.S. Studio in East Orange, New Jersey on June 12, 1986, and directed by Stafford Ashani.

Rest in peace, Stafford, Ibo and Bunny.
