Te Ataarangi does more than just teach te reo Māori. It creates safe learning and speaking environments for all kaiuru across various levels.

Te Ataarangi has a way of ensuring the mana, tapu and mauri of each person who joins this movement is cared for holistically.

Whānau expresses that the kaiako uphold the mātāpono of Te Ataarangi and encourage them to return te reo Māori into the home as a living language “kia tū pakari ngā mokopuna hei tangata kōrero Māori.”
