On Friday, January 28, 2011 a specially built Cafe Racer was put up for auction with all proceeds going directly to Curing Kids Cancer. The bike was designed by Santiago Chopper's Alan Bernard and was featured on Discovery's Cafe Racer series. The final sale price was $35,000, however, Mecum president Dana Mecum added an additional $10,000 and a donation of $250 brought the total that night to $45,250.
