This video documents an experiment using Arduino, multiple stepper motor drivers, several temperature sensors, a pressure sensor, a flow meter for measuring flow rates, and an OLED display unit to control an advanced beer cooler equipped with an Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV). The EEV, driven by a stepper motor, precisely regulates the flow of refrigerant, allowing for efficient heat exchange. In the cooler, the EEV plays a critical role by dynamically adjusting the refrigerant flow to meet cooling demands, thereby enhancing the system's efficiency. This system is essential for accurately controlling the beer dispensing temperature. In the video, a target temperature of 2.8°C is set, and the process of reaching this target from the current temperature of 17.8°C through PID control is recorded. Integrating the control buttons and display unit into the beer dispenser’s knob area would make the system more convenient to use.
