Is fusing 18650 cells bullshit? Ok, so I got to thinking - we (the interwebs) have decided we need to fuse each and every 18650 cells based on a few photos from a Tesla Motor Car battery - DRAWING LIKE A MILLION AMPS. I'm now second-guessing the whole GOTA FUSE EVERY CELL myth.


So a few months down the track and it might be time to revisit this video seems fuses are not just needed they are a requirement. Fuses so far have blown on a dozen cells surely saving me from some sort of larger failure I think.
