Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel! Today, I'm going to show you how I gave myself blue underlights at home without any prior experience just under rs 150/- !!
But I did a lot of research on YouTube so.
So if you've been wanting to switch up your look, this might be helpful!

Preparation
I ordered streax ultralights highlighting kit from Amazon in the shade blue sapphire
Here are all the things you get in the pack-
1. Gloves
2. Blonder+ developer in 1:2
3. A wand for mixing (idk what it's called)
4. 2 sachets of conditioner
5. Instruction guide
6. A brush
7. A pack of colourant cream (the dye)

Oh and you'll also need some other things which I've mentioned later in the video but here's a list anyway
Gather everything together

Vaseline or any petroleum gel
a bowl (I used a plastic bowl so there's no chemical reaction),
a comb,
clips to section your hair,
aluminium foil (optional)
Plastic wrap (optional)
A mirror
Do wear an old shirt

Process

First things first, put a layer of Vaseline in your neck and shoulders and around your ears so that it doesn't get bleached or dyed lmao.
Section your hair according to the style you want to go for.
I've done it like this
I took the hair from a line between the top of my ears and put it up
Then I took some more hair near the line along my ear so that I can hide the dyed hair whenever I want (gotta preserve the med student image)

Now starts the real thing (still contemplating)
Take hair into small sections and start applying the bleach
Don't miss any spots INside the hair sections
Apply it thoroughly, quickly
And set it in aluminium foil for quicker heating (gives better results, bleach can work more efficiently)
And always always blend in the upper portion like I've done here
So that the line between bleached part and original hair is not too blunt
It gives more natural blending
Fold the foil into shape
But don't squeeze it too hard
Or the bleach will move from actual hair strands
Move on to the next sections
And act quickly but please do it thoroughly or else you'll end up with blotched spots (like I did, kinda)
You just have to repeat the same process now until you're done with all your hair
1 packet is not enough if you're doing a lot of hair
I used 1 pack because it was my first try and it was enough for the amount of hair I planned to do
So buy wisely
I got it the bleach on my glasses and neck but it was okay since I applied vaseline
Be sure to sit in a comfy position because it's gonna take around 45 minutes for it to take action
Check the bleach every 10 mins so that you don't damage your hair too much
I think I sat for around 1 hour including the application process (15-20 mins for applying, 40- 45 mins to dry)
See? It's all used up
You can reapply more product if you feel it's not enough yellow yet
In the meantime I started counting how much hairfall I have everyday
I think it's around 80-100 now
Do you think it's normal?

Results

Now moment of truth (yellowness)
Let's see the results
It's not that bright yet but it's doable
See? Some black hair left inside because I was hurrying
You should be aware of that
It's always gonna be browner after washing your hair so don't be deceived while the bleach is still on
Btw don't shampoo it
Just rinse with water

Under sunlight
Normal daylight
Again under sunlight

Noww time to apply the colourant
It's the easy part
Because only the bleached part will take the colour so you don't need to be super alert not to stain unwanted strands of hair
And then wrap it in plastic so it doesn't get on your bedsheet
The stain on my neck will go away easily because I've used vaseline
Wash it properly because some dye will bleed into the floor and it's okay, it's just the extra dye
Do use conditioner for soft hair

How it looks when wet

And now the final results tada!!

This is after 4-4.5 months when the colour has gradually faded away
It looks so dead lol
Anyway it turns green, brown and yellow after several wash so do keep that in mind

I hope it was helpful and thanks for watching!
