For 60 years the European Parliament has tried to decide for itself where to sit. But everything it has done has been in vain, because the member states (France!) always had the final say. 
It all felt hopeless. But the story doesn‘t end here. I found a loophole in the treaties - and managed to save the European Parliament a great deal of money.

Über 60 Jahre hatte das Europaparlament versucht, selbst zu entscheiden, wo es seinen Sitz hat. Doch alles war vergeblich, weil es gegen die Macht der Mitgliedsstaaten (Frankreich!) chancenlos war.
Alles schien aussichtslos. Doch dann habe ich eine Gesetzeslücke gefunden, um dem Europaparlament jede Menge Geld zu sparen.
