I am greeted at RSPB nature reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, by a squirrel family moving through the trees. I’m on my way to Fen Hide and pass a Common Lizard basking in the sunshine. Once at the hide, there are a pair of Great White Egrets, a beautiful swan family and a cheeky heron.
