Novara, 25-31.08.2024. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Valsesian pilgrimage, thanks to the Associazione Amici di Lourdes ‘Gemma Cosotti’ and the FS Foundation, a pilgrim train was organised from Varallo Sesia to Lourdes. For this important occasion, the FS Foundation provided two historic D445 diesel locomotives, the 1050 and the 1140. In this video, we will see the train's departure and return to Novara, where several manoeuvres were performed to change traction from electric to diesel. There are also some surprises in the video.
