In the world of gaming, Immersion is one of the most important aspects of a game that developers try to achieve... But one thing that interferes with this is the linear nature of a lot of games. What if that wasn't the case? Well a genre called "Immersive Sims" aims to immerse the player with incredible effort through player agency, incredibly storytelling and freedom.

The best immersive sim that i've ever played is Dishonored, a game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda. Dishonored follows Corvo, the Lord Protector of the Empress' Daughter. After a tragic betrayal by several key-figures in the Empire, Corvo is banished, imprisoned and tortured. After breaking out of imprisonment before execution, he can finally start taking revenge against those who wronged him.

In this video, I discuss the main aspects of Dishonored that makes it such a Masterpiece and one of the most important Immersive Sims to ever come out.
