Human centered design is a creative approach to problem-solving that starts with the people you are designing for and ends with new solutions tailored to suit their needs.

What makes human centered design different than other approaches to problem-solving is its focus on human experience and using a diverse set of perspectives and disciplines to generate new ideas. It often produces better solutions more quickly and efficiently and can be applied to both large and small problems.

The Office of Research & Innovation hosted a Human Centered Design Lunch & Learn on June 7, 2021 presented by Andy Zimney from Employee Strategies with special opening remarks from Commission Margaret Anderson Kelliher.
