So I put a set on the steer, which smoothed the truck out and gave me better wear on the front which I was wrapped about. A couple of hundred thou later Simon said, ‘when do you want to do the drive’, I said why….so I did the drive, well impressed again, and smoothed the whole truck, which I never realised was a problem until after the fact.
Over the last 12 months I’ve had a couple of drivers have a crack with me favourite, both of them reckoned there was an alignment problem, I said I don’t think so, cause I don’t believe in wheel alignments. Anyhow it got the better of me so I asked around and was told to see John Smart, he’s the local truck whisperer, I was skeptical but anyway I let him do what he does, which is a secret so I don’t know what he did, but wow. So now I’ve got a truck that drives down the road (which is not the best quality) better than anything I’ve driven over my whole career……and I’ve driven euro trucks too.
So the moral of the story is……my next new truck won’t go on the road till these 2 blokes have worked their magic, oh yeah I’ll probably do my other trucks too, just in case me boys raise their eyebrows. "
