It is time we examined Silence, a story revolving around Christian missionaries who secretly travel to Edo period Japan and who find themselves tested under the weight of intense religious persecution. This video will function somewhat different than my usual reviews as we will examine the story of Silence and its deeper meanings, both how it is portrayed in the book and 2016 film.

The original novel "Silence" was written in 1966 by Shusaku Endo.
The film adaption I chose to review for this video was directed by Martin Scorsese.
