Joachim Gossow is an experienced administrator from Germany. His journey in sports administration began over two decades earlier, with a background as both a professional handball player and coach. Gossow played a pivotal role in the success of The World Games 2005 in Duisburg, serving as the Sport Director for the Organising Committee.

Since 2010, he has led the International World Games Association (IWGA) as the CEO, playing key roles in organising international events, including The World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung and The World Games 2013 in Cali, Colombia.

Ursula Romero

Ursula Romero is an international sport broadcaster, film producer and director, having an extensive career in international sports broadcasting.

Ursula has worked for all Olympic and Paralympic Games since 1996 in a variety of production roles as well as two FIFA World Cups, while also hosting various World Championship events like World Karate Federation Budapest World Championships. ISB is set to be the broadcasting partner of The World Games 2025, Chengdu.

The daughter of legendary sports broadcaster, Manolo Romero, Ursula currently serves as the CEO of International Sports Broadcasting Company (ISB).

The World Games 2025 Chengdu

The WORLD GAMES, organised by the International World Games Association (IWGA), are an international multi-sport event featuring sports that are not contested in the Olympics, with few exceptions, and are held the year following the Summer Olympic Games.

Traditionally, THE WORLD GAMES feature 29 to 35 sports over the course of 11 days. The WORLD GAMES are governed by the International World Games Association under patronage of the International Olympic Committee.

The World Games 2025, scheduled from Aug 7 to 17, is the world’s 2nd largest multi-sport
event after the Olympic Games with:

International World Games Association (IWGA)

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a globally recognised organisation, officially acknowledged by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Founded on 21 May 1980 in Seoul, South Korea, originally as the World Games Council, the IWGA was formed by 12 international sports federations. These federations represented sports with global appeal that were not yet included in the Olympic Games. The association continues to promote and support a diverse range of sports on the global stage through The World Games.

International Sports Broadcasting (ISB) is a company specialising in the host broadcast coverage of major sporting events. It was founded by Manolo Romero, one of the pioneers in sports television.
