Marco d'Agostino is in charge of archaeological monitoring of the Venice Lagoon. On June 20, 2001, he spotted a wreck at a depth of eight meters which could be a galea, the emblematic vessel of the Republic of Venice, at the time when it controlled luxury trade from the Far East to the West of the globe. .
The story of this unique excavation, for which an entire area of the lagoon will be drained, will allow us to relive the three golden centuries of the Serenissima.
