This might be a little confusing for people who are new to NCT, but here I will explain a little about NCT. This will be very long, so prepare yourself.

NCT is Neo Culture Technology. NCT is from SM Entertainment and is the SM record that has the most members.

NCT is a group with infinite members, but this year that system will end it and NCT fix with just 26 members without increasing any more. Now they have 5 big units (NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, NCT New Team).

NCT is Gen 3, many people say NCT is Gen 4 because NCT is still very active until now. NCT debuted in 2016. NCT, NCT 127, NCT DREAM are Gen 3. WayV is gen 4 (they debuted in 2019). And NCT New Team will join in gen 5.

NCT Official Fandom Name : NCTzen
The members always called us Czennie (pronounce: seasony)
And WayZenni for WayV Fandom name

I will explain about each NCT’s unit.

NCT U is NCT Unit which means all NCT members can become NCT U. Each NCT U song has different members. This is similar to a collaboration between units. Tunit does not have a fixed number of members.

NCT 127 is NCT's second unit. NCT 127 pronounce like “NCT one two seven”. The number 127 comes from the longitude coordinates of the city of Seoul. NCT 127 has 9 members. The concept of NCT 127's songs is usually more experimental and more mature than other units.

NCT DREAM is NCT's third unit. NCT DREAM had a system when a member was 20 years old, the member would graduate from NCT DREAM and move to another unit. However, SM has removed this system to become a fixed unit in 2019. NCT DREAM has 7 members. The concept of NCT DREAM's songs is usually more cheerful and colourful because all the members are still young.

WayV is NCT's Chinese unit. WayV focuses more on promotions in China and its members come from China (but there is Ten who comes from Thailand). WayV's songs are usually in Chinese laguange. WayV has 6 members. WayV originally name is NCT Vision, but due to problems with China and Korea, their name was changed to WayV.

NCT NEW TEAM/NCT TOKYO is NCT's last unit. Their fix unit name is not yet known because they were just formed from the survival show NCT Universe: Lastart. NCT TOKYO has 6 members. NCT TOKYO probably will focus on promotions in Japan, like WayV promotes in China.

Actually there is 1 more NCT unit, NCT DOJAEJUNG which contains 3 members from NCT 127 (DOyoung, JAEhyun, and JUNGwoo). They were formed in March 2023

Then there is NCT LAB, a channel for projects created by members (solo, duo, remix, and etc).

Lastly there is NCT 2018, NCT 2020, NCT 2021, and NCT 2023. This is a project where all the members will gather and release an album together on that year.

I will include the names of the members from oldest to youngest.
