Estanguet and his colleague gave an update on preparations for the Games which begin on July 26. Paris will begin its Olympics extravaganza with an unprecedented opening ceremony on the river Seine on July 26th. Organisers have promised a show like no other and said it would be daring and joyful. For the first time, the opening ceremony will not take place in a stadium. Instead, dozens of boats will carry thousands of athletes and performers on a 6km floating parade on the Seine.
