So we've good really good news and some bad news. A world revamp is happening but as blizzard just confirmed post blizzcon not as complete makeover of the entirety of Azeroth, but localized zones happening gradually over time.

Expect changes to Quel'Thalas with a new Silvermoon confirmed in the interview, Stromgarde, Gilneas, the plaguelands finally getting fixed. Southern part of Kalimdor is due for an update, Northerend will almost certainly receieve some sort of an update as well as potentially Orgrimmar and Stormwind as well as Gnomeregan later down the line.
