It's time for another episode in the series about what has passed. And this time we will visit the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship at the threshold of the second millennium. Before the Piasts entered this land, Slavs were certainly already there, organizing themselves in this region into a mystical community - if they were Slavs themselves?
The Sandomierz Land from that period of time still remains a big mystery to us. And it is not fully known whether there was a separate tribe called Sandomierz, or maybe the Lendians were present there... or maybe the Vistulans controlled everything at the end of the 9th century?
However, if this was the case, then it is quite intriguing that we will not find any castles there apart from the one located in the already distant Radom. Before we get there, however, we will take a look at the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, and especially Łysa Góra. Because on its peak and smaller surrounding ones there were once mysterious places of worship of our ancestors. Surrounded by an ancient forest, often referred to as the sacred groves of the Slavs - where the special deity was Żmij.

I mentioned Radom above. This is an important place, where its settlement begins in the 8th century as an open settlement, and the Piasts will appear here soon afterwards, making this City an important communication hub for themselves at the junction of various lands. And in this City we will find similarities to their capital in Wielkopolska.

In the second part of the film we will come to the Salve Regina mound. This is another interesting place whose history reaches back to the Stone Age. Certainly for a very long time it was again a place of worship of ancient peoples, and it is located on the edge of today's Sandomierz. Perhaps its creators were the Celts, or maybe the Slavs, or even the Vikings, taking into account the Vistula River and the Krakow Mounds? Or maybe the name Sandomierz comes from the Moravian dynasty or the Przemyslids, from the name Sudomir?
Here are the chapters describing it.

List:
00:00 - 03:05 The riddle of the Sandomierz tribe
03:06 - 06:24 Łysa Góra and cult places
06:25 - 09:40 The stronghold in Radom
09:41 - 14:00 The Salve Regina Mound
14:00 - 15:51 The sanctuary of the old Vistulans?
