Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park has received a Global Ocean Refuge Platinum Award, honouring the park’s exceptional protection of marine life. It is the first park in Australia, and only one of six in the world, to receive this award.

The award provides international recognition of the park’s management and exceptional marine biodiversity, research and conservation, which is only possible thanks to the dedication of over 30 partner organisations and volunteers working with Parks Victoria.

Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park is a diver’s paradise. Extending off the southern coast of Wilsons Prom, Victoria’s largest marine protected area is home to a spectacular underwater world.
