My name is “Wingit” and I am attempting an Appalachian Trail 2024 Thru Hike - without much of a plan, in fact, I am Winging it along the way. Here is another day I am grateful to share with everyone.

My first Zero Day in Harpers Ferry where I visited the ATC and am number 935 to have checked in there. One of my best friends from the Marine Corps drove down to Harpers Ferry from the Baltimore area in order to visit me and also help me out with my iPhone storage situation so I can continue to VLOG this hike. I am 100% out of storage and cannot make even another video on trail without addressing this situation. I’ve used 1TB and MORE.

Today I got to spend time with Mikey, a Fire Chief in Baltimore City FD as well as visit a Best Buy and Sporting Goods Store to begin the next portion of my hike. I also walked around Harper’s Ferry learning about its history including the oldest paved road in America, and reading monuments in town including from the 1799 House which is the second oldest building in Harper’s Ferry, WV.

Please let me know your thoughts and if you haven’t joined us on this journey, please subscribe and join us as we all trek the road together.

DONATIONS - My needs are met so
ANY & ALL donations will be utilized to help less fortunate hikers. Many are hiking with minimal food & substandard gear, infrequent opportunities to get out of inclement weather, do laundry, or acquire a bunk at a local hostile. Many survive by donated gear from hiker boxes to experience the magic of the Appalachian Trail.

I believe the gift is in the give and utilize every opportunity to be of service to others; on the trail and off. I do what I can, any additional contributions will further validate the AT Mantra “The Trail Provides.”

Love & Peace,

“Wingit”
