Woolworths CEO, Brad Banducci resigns from the supermarket giant just days after a disastrous interview with ABC’s Four Corners where he broke the cardinal rule of public relations – never walk out of a TV interview.

The interview comes on the heels of an ACCC inquiry into the major supermarkets and a month after Woolworths was caught in a media storm over Australia Day merchandise.

Banducci could walk away with up to $24 million in Woolworths shares when he officially departs in September.

Bite-sized media criticism for a mid-week Media Watch fix. Paul Barry offers a lighter take each Thursday night.
