Vybz Kartel fans comment on appeal push back

Some fans of incarcerated dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel has expressed mixed views after learning that the deejay’s appeal date has been postponed.

Music News understands that the appeal hearing which was previously scheduled for February 19, 2018, has been pushed back to July 9 after the deejay’s attorneys indicated they need more time.

Since the revelation, some Gaza fans have expressed mix views via social media with some claiming that the system will always treat their deejay unfairly. Meanwhile, others believe that the postponement is a sign that the deejay’s legal team wants to present an airtight case.

Vybz Kartel who will be eligible for parole after serving 35 years, has already severed nearly six years.

Dancehall deejays Kartel and Shawn Storm along with two others were convicted in 2011 for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
