Revealing the True History of Islam About the Prophet Khidir | Translate Indonesian - English

Al-Khidir (/ˈxɪdər/) (Arabic: ٱلْخَضِر, translit. al-Khaḍir) also transcribed as Khadir, Khader, al-Khidr, Khizar, Kathir, Khazer, Khadr, Khedher, Khizir, Khizar, and Khilr is the figure described but it is not mentioned by name in the Qur'an as a pious servant of Allah who possessed great wisdom or mystical knowledge. In various Islamic and non-Islamic traditions, Khidr is depicted as a messenger, prophet or saint, who guards the sea, teaches secret knowledge and helps those in trouble. He tends to be highlighted as the guardian of Islam, Ibn Arabi. The figure of Khidr has been synchronized over time with various other figures including Dūraoša[8] and Sroūsh in Iran, Sargis Zoravar and Saint George in Asia Minor and the Levant (Syria), Sammael (divine prosecutor) in Judaism, Elijah among the Druze, John Baptist in Armenia, and Jhulelal in Sindh and Punjab in South Asia.

Although not mentioned by name in the Qur'an, he is mentioned by Muslim scholars as a figure described in the Qur'an 18:65–82 as a servant of God who had been given "knowledge" and who was accompanied and questioned by the Jewish prophet , Musa about the many seemingly unjust or inappropriate acts he (Khidr) committed (sinking a ship, killing a young man, avenging unfriendliness by repairing a wall). At the end of the story Khidr explains circumstances that Moses did not know about, making every action he took fair and appropriate.
