OK, so I wrote this song and then I decided that I would write words to it and sing it in Spanish. I'm trying to learn how to speak Spanish because that is my mother's heritage, but also I just love the Spaniards and I love my luthier, Marco Gamarra - such a nice guy.

The title is an 'oak tree and a songbird,' and it's metaphorical. When I was trying to explain this to my friend Joan in Spain he was like, "but I thought it was about a tree and a bird", and I'm like it's metaphorical. It's a love song. My boyfriend (Max Enloe) is as tall and strong as an oak tree, and I'm the little songbird flying around. Ya, ok, it's a little gushy, but right now I don't know so much Spanish so I'm sticking to the bits and pieces I do know. The tune itself is supposed to sound like the songbird flying around the oak, you get the idea. Anyway, that's that.
