A scientist tries to save the life of a beluga bush calf stranded on the beach of the St. Lawrence River in Canada. Once separated from their mothers baby beluga whales have a slim chance of survival. But with the help of a scientist, one baby beluga might have a chance. The baby is one of the 900 endangered belugas in Canada's magnificent St. Lawrence River. Humans are more closely tied to these whales than to almost any other wild animal on the planet.
