The Serpent Runes is a three-track EP that champions spoken word and ambience but is not without the heavy roots that have made Moon Devoured what it is today. TSR is an allegory for the barrier between an ache to learn and become more than what we are, and the actual knowledge itself.

The intro track features three women, each speaking a different language. Anni speaks Greek, Amy speaks Arabic, and Jess speaks Spanish. The English translation is shown.

Once more Mitchell Christian delivers a hauntingly heavy soundscape for the story I wanted to share, as he did so beautifully for my side project S'effondrer. And as always the master himself, Alex Sevigny, tied it all together.
